4 WHEEL LASER ALIGNMENT& TRACKING AT AUTOPFECT

Hitting a kerb or driving at speed through a pothole can result in wheel misalignment. Poorly aligned wheels can affect road holding, increase fuel consumption and decrease the life of your tyres.

If you spot the signs of misaligned wheels – such as uneven wear on your tyres – book a wheel alignment by telephone or CONTACT US page, you can however call in for a free of charge tyre check should you be unsure.

How will balanced wheels benefit me?

  • Balanced wheels will improve your comfort and driving experience. It will also prevent early wear out of your car components there for saving you money.
  • In modern day cars, the suspension systems are so good that absorb most of the vibrations and road noise. So, if you the driver feel any vibration at all, your wheels may need to be balanced.

How can aligned wheels benefit me?

  • Minimise uneven tyre wear
  • Improve road holding and safety of your car.
  • Research has shown that even a small amount of miss alignment (1mm) means your tyre is being forced sideways at approximately 1 metre every mile you travel, again reducing your tyre life
  • To gain benefit for all the above reasons make sure your tracking and wheel alignment is checked by the Autopfect Ltd Leeds service team.

With over 20 years of main dealer trained technicians at hand we can attend to all your motoring needs!

Frequently Asked Questions

People often get confused between wheel alignment and wheel balancing. They are completely different. Wheel alignment, or tracking as it’s sometimes called, consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are as specified by your vehicle manufacturer.

The tell-tale sign of your tires being out of balance is a shake or vibration between 60 and 70 miles per hour.

Your tyres will wear down prematurely when the wheel assembly isn’t balanced – and you may be in for some not-so-good vibrations.
